Beta
HilloPad for macOS is currently in beta and free to use while display compatibility is being mapped. The beta includes the planned HilloPad feature set, and your compatibility reports help us understand how different touch displays handle finger, pen and eraser input in real-world setups.
Starting on macOS, HilloPad is designed for HID-compatible touch displays. HilloPad includes a compatibility test tool that can send an anonymous report from your display. These reports help us build a more reliable compatibility list and improve support for more devices and platforms.
Full beta functionality for macOS, including multi-touch, scrolling, pen and eraser support, virtual keyboard access, custom profiles and macros.
Basic functionality will remain free. Extended features, including app profiles and macros, will be available in HilloPad Pro.
Future Windows support is planned for compatible touch display setups, with customizable input actions and profiles.
HilloPad is designed to add practical touch, pen and eraser control for compatible touch displays on macOS. The display is typically connected for video with HDMI or USB-C, and touch input is sent to the Mac over a USB connection.
macOS does not provide the same built-in touch screen workflow as tablet-focused systems. HilloPad adds touch-friendly controls for compatible displays, including Samsung Flip models.
HilloPad is not a system driver. It works as an input bridge that reads a USB-connected HID touch display and turns touch, pen and eraser input into mouse, scrolling, keyboard and other macOS actions. It is built for devices that follow Microsoft HID descriptor conventions.
HilloPad does not focus on multi-user drawing where several people draw at the same time. It is designed to make one user's touch, pen and eraser workflow smoother and more useful on the desktop.
HilloPad works across desktop apps by turning touch display input into mouse, scrolling and keyboard actions. Controls can be customized for different apps, and app-specific input profiles can switch automatically when you change apps.
Start with the free macOS beta and see how HilloPad works with your own touch display. During the beta period, all features are available for testing while we map display compatibility.
